I began her career in the early 1990s in the cleaning industry, where she quickly learned the value of hard work, leadership, and operational excellence. Her strong work ethic and natural leadership abilities propelled her into a supervisory role, and within three years at UBS, she advanced to General Manager. In this role, she oversaw all business operations, including payroll, human resources, safety compliance, and staff hiring. The experience and mentorship she gained at UBS equipped her with the tools to confidently pursue new opportunities when the company was sold in the late 1990s.
In 2001, Cheryl joined The Planning and Investment Center, Inc. (PIC) as an Office Manager. Recognizing the tremendous opportunities within the financial services industry, she expanded her role over time to become an Executive Assistant, Registered Supervisor, and ultimately an Investment Advisor Representative. Between 2004 and 2009, she earned her securities registrations and licenses, further solidifying her professional expertise.
After dedicating 25 years to The Planning and Investment Center, Cheryl continues her career with MIFGI following its acquisition of PIC. She feels truly blessed to work in a profession that allows her to help others pursue their financial goals. For Cheryl, this career has been more fulfilling than words can express.
Outside of her professional life, Cheryl has a deep passion for athletics—particularly softball. She began coaching her two daughters in 1996 and continued coaching young athletes through 2009. After stepping away from coaching, she transitioned into officiating softball from 2009 to 2020. Today, she continues her involvement in sports by playing and officiating high school volleyball in the fall.
Her favorite quote reflects her outlook on both life and work:
“Attitude” — Charles Swindoll
