Logan is from Colorado Springs and attended the University of North Dakota. After graduation, Logan was commissioned into the Army where he became an AH-64 D/E Apache helicopter pilot. Logan met his wife Brette while he was stationed at Fort Hood. During his time in the Army, he served as an Attack/Reconnaissance Platoon Leader, Maintenance Troop Executive Officer, Basic Officer Leadership Course Instructor, and Course Manager. He did one combat tour to Iraq in 2018.
Following his medical retirement from the Army in 2021, the couple took the opportunity to move close to Logan’s family and the mountains in Colorado Springs. Brette is an oncology clinical pharmacist at Penrose Hospital. The couple has a son, Anderson, who was born in June of 2022, a daughter, Ivy was born in April of 2024, and a Basenji mix named Killian
